ROB HALFORD Joins 'METAL' MIKE CHLASCIAK In Scoring 'Talking Metal On Fuse' Theme Song
JUDAS PRIEST vocalist Rob Halford has contributed lyrics and vocals to "Metal" Mike Chlasciak's theme music for the "Talking Metal on Fuse" TV show, which re-airs Monday, November 12 at 7:00 P.M. ET/4:00 P.M. PT on Fuse. Also directly involved in creating the theme music were producer Roy Z. and HALFORD manager John Baxter.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guitarist "Metal" Mike Chlasciak, who is known for his work with HALFORD, SEBASTIAN BACH, TESTAMENT and his own outfit PAINMUSEUM, has scored and recorded the music theme for the "Talking Metal on Fuse" show, which is set to debut Friday, November 9 at 12:30 a.m. ET on Fuse.
"Talking Metal on Fuse", a one-hour pilot that brings the number-one heavy metal/hard rock podcast on iTunes to television. Hosted by Mark Strigl and John Ostronomy — the ultimate metal geeks and hard rock aficionados — the show provides a unique perspective and insider's view into the world of metal and hard rock music.
Asked about his involvement, Mike commented, "I have been asked by John, Mark and Fuse if I was interested in delivering a kick-ass opening theme for the show.
"I have known John and Mark from their 'Talking Metal' podcast for some time and they always struck me as really great guys, full of knowledge and excitement for metal. And because of that, and because it felt like a fun exciting thing to do, I was more than happy to do just go ahead and record something ripping for them that I feel is worthy of the show.
"I do believe that there will be some very, very exciting official news about this theme song coming in just a couple of days — so stay tuned please!
"I recorded the piece right here at my own House Of Metal Studios, a private studio that I own and use for writing and recording metal. I have recorded many things here to date, including several solos for the HALFORD 'Crucible' album, some vocals and solos for PAINMUSEUM, my guest appearance for DREAM EVIL's 'Book Of Heavy Metal' record and most of the solos for Sebastian's 'Angel Down' album. The latter recorded in only 8 hours, to be exact, just enough time to drop off the FedEx to producer Roy Z and jump on the plane to Japan to play with KISS. Talk about timing.
"But, returning to the show, yeah, I do feel that 'Talking Metal on Fuse' will have a great future and I am very, very honored to be a part of it. You will additionally see me in the show as well playing riffs, adding my two cents and creating havoc. Did I mention the pretty girls that were our in-studio guests?
"It was a good night of metal. Those guys have my full support!"

Metal Day - Aarius Studios, NJ
.......................................................................................................................
Metal Hails! I am inviting you to participate in my Metal Day Workshop and guitar clinic event to take place Saturday, November 24 at Pro Line Music in Fairless Hills, PA. The concept is very simple. I'll be getting together with about 8 other guitar players that are into metal to go over anything you want to know. It can be playing examples, rehearsal tips or motivation topics. It is an open forum and everyone is in the same room just trading ideas and picking my brain on anything you feel like asking. Meet others who are into the same music as you are in a laid back setting that's filled with a ton of info. Get inspired! If you are up to sharpen your skills, please e-mail us at CmmEnt@Planetshred.com with a heading METAL DAY. We'll reply with a full information packet.
Later in the day raise your horns up high for a live clinic performance at 6PM. This is not your ordinary guitar clinic. Expect a great light show, smoke, great music, some good brews, food and plenty of shredding. I'll also give you a glimpse on some of the new music that I have been working on. Live performance seating is on first come basis, so get there early.

APRIL 2007 |
PAUL BOSTAPH To Thrash With Metal Mike's PAINMUSEUM at Mexico's SOS Festival
Metal F***ing Hails. As many of you already know our resident drum magician Bobby Jarzombek has sustained an inury to his wrist. Damn guitar techs leaving guitar stands all over the drummer's studio .. don't they know better? We all wish Bobby a super fast recovery. Bobby mentioned that he will concentrate on his doube bass chops during his healing, and that's like pouring gasoline into an exploding fuel tanker. Should be interesting.
I have asked a good friend and one of metal's premier drummers Paul Bostaph (Slayer, Testament, Exodus, Forbidden) to do us the honors. Paul is a muther F**cker to put it short, and we have become good friends while we both toured in Testament in 2004. Rarely you will see anyone with such immense talent, drumming power and dedication to their instrument. So to cap it off, Mexico get your horns out become we are coming to kick your ass".

MARCH 2007 |
C.M.M. Entertainment, LLC has set a May 1 release date for "Metal" Mike Chlasciak's (PAINMUSEUM, HALFORD, SEBASTIAN BACH) guitar instructional books "Ridiculous Riffs for the Terrifying Guitarist" and "Monster Coordination - Guitar Boot Camp".
Commented Mike: "I am proud to announce the release of my two guitar instructional books. First and foremost, they are written in easy to understand language and are geared for metalhead guitarists. No insane schematics or a bunch of confusing black dots on the page. You will be using the material quickly.
'Ridiculous Riffs for the Terrifying Guitarist' is a tour de force of no-nonsense guitar licks, tricks and lead guitar concepts. The book is a huge compilation of my favorite licks, techniques and ideas on the guitar. Topics include 'Motivation', 'Practicing Methods' plus chapters on 'Terrifying Pentatonics', 'Terrifying Arpeggios', 'Scalar and Speed Sequences' and the 'Ridiculous Department' which showcases some truly insane guitar ideas not for the weak of heart. But do not fear, new spins on simple blues scales and plenty of tips will welcome the less experienced guitarist. I have included theory application for all examples. Everything is written in both regular notation and tablature.
"'Monster Coordination' is a practice manual for developing your dexterity, coordination and speed on the guitar. It contains only the best exercises I have come across as a guitarist. Diagrams, tablature and corresponding explanation shed light on each excercise. Warm-up, stretching, strengthening and how to tell if you are getting better — it's all there, and then some. I have included all of the exercises that I have used for years and still use today. These books are a comprehensive technique building tools for heavy metal minded guitarists at all levels. BassDog Design delivered a great look for these which will hopefully enhance your experience with the titles. If you believe that you have been stuck in a rut, these books will help you. I do not believe that you will be disappointed."
Both books will be available May 1 at the Metal Mike Armory Store at www.metalmike.net. Metal Mike Armory Store is currently offering a pre-sale, so you can get your own copy by April 1. The pre-sale features special pricing, free shipping, set of Metal Mike guitar picks and the first 150 books of each title will be signed by Metal Mike. One pre-order customer will be chosen at random and will receive a call from Metal Mike, who will personally check on your progress. Ten pre-order customers will receive a copy of Metal Mike's new PAINMUSEUM EP "You Have the Right to Remain Violent". To receive more info on pre-ordering, send an e-mail to CmmEnt@Planetshred.com with the heading "Metal Books"
